Sua Maestà il fungo cardoncello è da sempre il protagonista della Sagra che vede impegnata la Pro Loco di Ruvo di Puglia (BA). Un appuntamento che raccoglie un vasto consenso di pubblico ogni anno sempre più numeroso. Esperti di gastronomia, turisti e semplici golosi possono infatti trascorrere, il 12 e 13 novembre 2011, un weekend spensierato all’insegna delle tradizioni e della scoperta dei prodotti legati alla cucina dell’Alta Murgia.
Il format della Sagra è ormai collaudato. La manifestazione è organizzata dall’associazione turistica Pro Loco in stretta collaborazione con l’UNPLI gli assessorati alle Attività Produttive e alla Cultura e Turismo, con il patrocinio della Regione Puglia, Provincia di Bari, Camera del Commercio di Bari, l’ASCOM Confcommercio Provincia di Bari, l’Ente Parco Nazionale dell’Alta Murgia e il Gal Murgia Più. La formula è quella classica con le immancabili degustazioni di prodotti tipici, salsicce e carni alla brace, alle specialità a base di funghi cardoncelli esaltati nelle loro varietà di cottura.
La novità della manifestazione di quest’anno è l’ECOsagra, ovvero l’unione dei principi della tradizionale sagra gastronomica del fungo cardoncello targata edizione 2011, con quelli del riciclaggio tramite l’utilizzo di materiali che azzerano l’impatto ambientale e riducono notevolmente i costi di riciclaggio. Sarà la prima eco festa al 100% biodegradabile.
La Pro Loco ha comperato piatti, bicchieri, posate realizzati con materiali eco compatibili. Grazie a questo “acquisto verde” al momento di svuotare il vassoio, basta togliere le eventuali bottiglie di plastica o vetro e tutto ciò che rimane può essere gettato direttamente nella raccolta differenziata dell’organico. Un passo significativo per la Pro Loco, che traduce le buone pratiche in gesti concreti, modificando i propri comportamenti in considerazione delle implicazioni mbientali e sociali.
Largo spazio è riservato alla degustazione lungo percorsi itineranti nel borgo antico. Il tutto accompagnato dai nobili vini delle nostre terre. Arte e cultura fanno da cornice ad un appuntamento imperdibile. Tanti gli eventi organizzati dalla Pro Loco, visite guidate, passeggiate naturalistiche e culturali, spettacoli folcloristici e musica popolare. La kermesse è anche l’occasione per visitare Ruvo di Puglia, splendido borgo che offre uno scenario impareggiabile. Vale la pena di soffermarsi a visitare il Museo Nazionale Archeologico Jatta, la Cattedrale, i palazzi e il caratteristico Centro Storico.
L’evento della sagra nata come kermesse eno-grastonomica, mira in realtà a diventare una vetrina del settore agro-alimentare e turistico di questo territorio, ponendo l’attenzione sulla varietà dei prodotti tipici e sulle bellezze culturali e paesaggistiche.
