It weighs the same as a grizzly bear and certainly would make for a hairy fertiliser bill – the nearly 1,500lb squash that is now the officially the worlds biggest.The humongous vegetable – part of the pumpkin family – has been officially recognised as the largest on the planet tipping the scales at more than 670kg.Joel Jarvis is the green-fingered grower who has managed to cultivate the super-sized plant on his land in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada.Joel watched with the anticipation of an expectant father as his baby put on as much as 40 pounds a day.
